SMS / Text Messaging Policy
Effective: July 1, 2026 · Last updated: July 26, 2026
1. Program description
Hair Scripts (hair-script.com) uses SMS text messaging to send patients transactional and operational messages related to their care. These messages may include:
- Intake confirmation — notification that your quiz submission was received
- Appointment reminders — reminders for scheduled telehealth consultations
- Prescription status updates — notification that your prescription has been reviewed, approved, or requires follow-up
- Test kit updates — shipping confirmation and upload reminders for the Hair Scripts Response Test
- Follow-up care — refill reminders or check-in messages from your provider
Hair Scripts does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising SMS messages. All messages are transactional and directly related to your care.
2. How you opted in
You opted in to receive text messages from Hair Scripts when you provided your mobile phone number during the online intake quiz at hair-script.com/quiz and checked the SMS consent box acknowledging this policy. Consent is explicitly collected — providing a phone number alone does not constitute consent.
Your consent is recorded with a timestamp at the time of intake submission and stored securely in our records.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your treatment status. Most patients receive 2–6 messages per month. You will receive at minimum one message per intake submission confirming receipt. Messages are sent only when there is a relevant update to your care.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details.
4. How to opt out (STOP)
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message from Hair Scripts. You will receive one final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out. After that, no further SMS messages will be sent.
Opting out of SMS does not affect your ability to use Hair Scripts services or access your patient portal. You will still receive important communications via email.
You may also opt out by contacting us at info@hair-script.com or calling (480) 222-0483.
5. Help
Reply HELP to any Hair Scripts text message to receive a reply with our contact information and a link to this policy. You can also contact us directly:
6. PHI and HIPAA
Hair Scripts does not include protected health information (PHI) in SMS messages. Text messages will never contain your diagnosis, prescription details, test results, or other health information. All clinical information is communicated through your HIPAA-compliant patient portal at hair-script.com/portal.
SMS messages are used for logistical notifications only (e.g., "Your intake has been received — log in to check your status").
7. No sharing of opt-in data
Your phone number and SMS opt-in consent data are not shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third party for marketing purposes. Your number may be shared with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. It is not shared with any other party.
8. Supported carriers
Hair Scripts SMS messages are delivered via major US wireless carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and others. Carrier support may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
9. TCPA compliance
Hair Scripts complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and all applicable FCC regulations governing commercial text messaging. We obtain express written consent before sending any SMS messages and honor all opt-out requests promptly.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued receipt of SMS messages after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
